Traditional Hanbok Curatorship is a specialized educational training course on Korean traditional costumes and is the only curatorship program in Korea that educates curators on the history traditional costumes. Currently, it is registered as an educational program for Korea’s public servants. The program launched in 2011 after recognizing the necessity of education on traditional costumes, spread of knowledge on Korean costumes, and demand for nurturing special talent in the field of costume design. Based on essential knowledge of costumes and field experiences, the program provides a four-week intensive training with the top specialists in the field, who deliver lectures. Upon completion of the program, attendants take an exam to be issued a costume curator certification.
